Born in Manhattan, raised in Amsterdam, currently based in Brooklyn. Day-to-day, I design custom electronics for large-scale brand experiences at Bednark. Besides that, I run the Disengineering Society, a creative technology initiative that teaches people how to build their own electronic musical instruments using e-waste.

Among many other things, I love speaking and singing in Dutch, playing weirdly competitive pick-up soccer in McCarren Park, collecting and restoring old iPods, and biking through the city to my girlfriends apartment for dinner after work.

I (and others) call myself a creative technologist by trade, but I also call myself:

a guitarist, a left-winger with great stamina, a comix illustrator, Robert (my legal first name), a former graffiti artist, a surfer, an older brother, a Japanese stationery enthusiast, afraid of airplane turbulence, a QR-code hater, a dumpster diver, a guitarist, a left-winger with great stamina, a comix illustrator, Robert (my legal first name), a former graffiti artist, a surfer, an older brother, a Japanese stationery enthusiast, afraid of airplane turbulence, a QR-code hater, a dumpster diver...
